Brightest Brockley - Interior Design Project
This 1930s terraced house in Brockley was given an imaginative new aesthetic. The owners — both artists full of ideas and energy — wanted help shaping a cohesive design concept. Together, we created a home that’s braver and bolder than most, celebrating colour, texture, and creative expression.
With so many inspirations to draw from, the main challenge was editing down everything they loved. The guiding principle became clear: no beige. Instead, we explored how much colour a home could hold while still feeling harmonious and welcoming.
The resulting scheme layers classic Liberty prints with the striking contemporary patterns of designers such as Blackpop, blending heritage and innovation in a single expressive palette. Luxurious velvets sit beautifully against raw floorboards, creating a balance between refinement and authenticity.
Throughout the home, wallpapers, pattern, and tactile materials transform each room, shifting the mood as you move through the space. This curated clash may not be for everyone, but it shows just how powerful being bold can be. Brightest Brockley is a joyful celebration of contemporary design — fearless, expressive, and unapologetically colourful.
