Designer and founder Tina Wallis brings together the precision of an upholsterer with the expert eye of an interior designer. Her South-London studio celebrates individuality, craftsmanship, and the beauty of materials made to last.

At the heart of Tina’s approach is a simple belief: design should feel personal. Whether she’s restoring a cherished piece, crafting something bespoke, or reimagining an entire room, her work blends practicality with creativity — always shaped around the people who live with it.

Working from her studio in South London, Tina supports clients across London and the South East. She combines technical skill with an instinctive sense of style, creating interiors and furniture that feel beautifully lived-in, quietly expressive, and thoughtfully made.

Every piece crafted under the Marsden Grace name reflects Tina’s philosophy, beautiful first, considered always.

I believe design should be deeply personal — shaped around your story, your character, and the way you want to live. Whether I’m restoring a cherished piece, crafting something bespoke, or redesigning an entire house, my work blends craftsmanship with individuality. Everything I create or curate is made or restored here in the UK, with care, skill, and a sense of artistry.

Getting to know you is at the heart of the process. My role is to listen closely, guide gently, and help you explore possibilities with confidence - balancing comfort, practicality, and creativity along the way

My South London Interior Design Journey

From theatre to design, creativity, craftsmanship, and human connection.

  • A creative beginning

    Travel, theatre, storytelling, and a deep curiosity about people shaped my early years — long before interior design entered the picture.

  • Drama & Theatre Arts

    Studying at Goldsmiths opened me to art history, costume, philosophy, and design — the foundations of how I see the world creatively today and continue to influence my interior and upholstery work today.

  • Teaching through storytelling

    I spent many years running improvisation and drama workshops across schools, theatres, festivals, and universities — work that taught me how to listen, understand, and connect. These skills now sit at the centre of my design practice.

  • From stage to studio

    After my second child, I retrained in traditional and contemporary upholstery and soft furnishings at Brinsbury College, completing a 5-year programme. I later trained in interior design at KLC School of Design, aligning my work with BIID professional standards.

  • Design, craftsmanship & sustainability

    Today I create interior schemes, bespoke furniture, upholstery, and soft furnishings — as well as the Marsden Grace Collection of made-to-order and restored pieces. Sustainability is central: every piece is restored, recycled, or responsibly sourced.

The Studio Today

Marsden Grace Interiors brings together everything I love — materials, colour, craftsmanship, storytelling, and the pleasure of creating spaces that feel deeply lived-in and reflective of the people who inhabit them across South London and beyond.

Every project is a collaboration. My role is to shape a design that feels brave but grounded, expressive but timeless, and always considered — a blend of artistry, practicality, and warmth.
